Participation is more important than winning

If someone come across any competition then they should analyse their plus and minus on the given situation and somehow try to participate with the best part of them. If take the history of past, the runner or second or third top will be more popular than the topper of competition which clearly shows that winning at the moment has many reasons and hence one should not lose hope on the results of competition. 

This attitude will surely win one day because of the consistency and hard work behind them. There are varieties of competitions nowadays either in school, college or even in media on music, dance, play for youngsters and even they are coming with various novel ideas for any age group, gender to make active participation. 

Last but not least, media is giving boast with the prize or gifts but one need not bother about the end outcome but participate by all means which may fetch better results later.

There are many examples to add and best one is the great poet Bharathiyar in Tamil Nadu, who had not topped the competition but his fame is still there whereas we may not know about a person who came top.

So I request through this thread, participation is important in any competition and definitely any one will celebrate if winning also come.
